Matt Lucht, MS,AT,CES,PES

            I have over 15 years of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer, working with athletes at many different levels.  I started at Glendale Community College in the spring of 2014 as the Assistant Athletic Trainer.  I became the Head Athletic Trainer at Glendale Community College in 2015.  I also serve as a clinical preceptor for athletic training students from Northern Arizona University as well as from Grand Canyon University.

            I received my bachelors degree in Athletic Training from Chapman University.  I also  received my Masters Degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in sports and exercise conditioning throughout A.T Still University.  I also hold two certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Corrective Exercise Specialist and a Performance Enhancement Specialist.      

            I am very dedicated to constantly learning and improving my skills to ensure I can provide the very best treatment and care for all my student athletes at Glendale Community College.  At Glendale Community College we take pride in providing a high level of treatment and care for all our student athletes.  We take a very proactive approach to try and ensure our student athletes can remain as physically healthy as possible.  When injuries do occur, both minor or major, myself and staff will do everything possible to help our student athletes return to their sport as quickly and safely as possible.  I also have a background in strength and conditioning and use this knowledge to provide well rounded rehabilitation programs to our student athletes who are overcoming injuries or for those who are just looking for a little extra help in developing their functional strength to increase their athletic performance.  We have also formed great relationships with orthopedic physicians, sports medicine physicians as well as physical therapists to provide an extended network of professionals to assist our student athletes overcome any injuries they may sustain.      

            In my free time I love spending time with my wife Amy and my daughter Hadley.  I am an avid sports fan so when I am not working with the teams at Glendale Community College I enjoy watching all sports specifically the University of Iowa and the Los Angeles Dodgers.  I am not just the Head Athletic Trainer at Glendale Community College but I am the biggest fan of all my teams and student athletes and enjoy seeing each individual strive to reach all of their goals in the sport they participate in!
